Snell & Wilmer Partner Marc L. Schultz Will Speak at the Novogradac Opportunity Zones Conference

Schultz (https://www.swlaw.com/people/marc_schultz) will be speaking at the Novogradac 2020 Opportunity Zones Fall Virtual Conference (https://www.novoco.com/events/novogradac-2020-opportunity-zones-fall-conference) taking place during the week of October 19.

Schultz will be co-presenting on Wednesday, October 21 from 1 to 5 p.m. EST at an OZ 201 conference workshop on advanced Opportunity Zone issues. This workshop will provide instruction on a number of complex OZ issues faced by investors, sponsors, and developers.

Schultz currently chairs Snell & Wilmer's Tax Credit Finance and Renewable Energy practices and founded and co-chairs the Opportunity Zones and Opportunity Funds industry group. He is a member of OZ Magazine's Writers Council. Schultz is a regular speaker and panelist on the subject of tax credit financing and the Opportunity Zone incentive. He has drafted and provided technical advice on a number of comment letters that were submitted to the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service regarding the Opportunity Zone regulations.

Schultz has advised many fund sponsors in forming and structuring Qualified Opportunity Funds. Schultz was recently a panelist at the White House and Small Business Administration Opportunity Revitalization & Entrepreneurship Summit that took place in both Phoenix and Las Vegas. He has been a speaker and panelist at a number of large statewide Opportunity Zone conferences, including in the State of Delaware, the State of Hawaii, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the State of Rhode Island, the State of Nevada, the State of Colorado, the State of Idaho, and the State of Arizona.
