By: Ocean ENT "Based on our national Academy's (AAO-HNS) recommendations, we have drastically limited patient care to those patients with urgent or time sensitive conditions," The Ocean ENT office is now open from 9 AM to 1 PM on a daily basis, Monday through Friday. The office staff will assist patients in setting up Telemedicine Video Visits with an Ocean ENT physician. To schedule an appointment, please call 732-281-0100. "As everyone is aware, social distancing and avoidance has been the mainstay of decreasing transmission of the viral COVID-19 infection," said Dr. Peters. "Well-known symptoms such as, cough, fevers and shortness of breath are associated with the disease. Additionally, common cold-like symptoms and diarrhea has also been known to be associated with this viral infection. More recently, reports out of Europe and now the United States indicate that a loss of sense of smell and taste in the absence of other allergy symptoms including nasal congestion and a runny nose may indicate the possibility of COVID-19 infection." If you or someone you know experiences any or all of these symptoms, Dr. Peters recommends that self-isolation should be seriously considered until you can speak to your ENT specialist or Primary Care Provider. Ocean ENT remains committed to the health and safety of their patients.
