'Basant' meaning spring and 'Panchami' meaning fifth is always observed on the fifth day of Magha month. Magha, according to the Hindu calendar is celebrated between January and February marking the end of winter and arrival of spring.
BITT being the best polytechnic college in Ranchi apart from employing their children by giving a better Career After 10th and 12th also bound them to the culture of society by generating effective skills among every student. On the occasion of Basant Panchami, BITT organized a one-day glorious event of Saraswati Puja in their campus with the involvement of every staff, faculties, and students to make this aesthetic and reminiscent day with a 'yellow' theme to mark dignity.
The event started with the installation of the sculpture of Goddess Saraswati on their campus by the students of BITT Polytechnic, the Best Polytechnic College in Ranchi. Thereafter, the chief guest along with the principal, director, and joint director lit the lamp and started the event followed by a speech from the main host and chief guest.
Cultural programs performed by the students added light to the occasion and literary events marked the existence of Goddess Sarawati by enriching the knowledge and facts related to this day which will ultimately help them stay connected to the society and Indian culture as well.
Eventually, the winners of literary events were awarded by the director of BITT followed by his speech on the importance of knowledge.
