Third Annual Yoga Under the Stars to be held in Contemplative Garden

BEAUFORT, S.C. - Aug. 29, 2019 - PRLog -- In observance of National Family Literacy Month and as part of First Friday After Five, Born To Read Inc. is pleased to present the Third Annual Yoga Under the Stars on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm in the Contemplative Garden at Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park, Bay Street, Beaufort, SC 29902. Parking will be available at the downtown Marina, street parking along Bay, or other side street parking.

This free, family-friendly event is being hosted by the following community partners: Brittney Hiller of Effervescence Yoga Spa, Dragana Pavic-Zappia of One Yoga Sanctuary, Jane Caffrey of S.T.A.R.S., Lauren Karsen of Joined Forces Yoga Beaufort, and Susan Stone of ZenDen.

Sherri Shropshire, Independent Consultant with Usborne Books & More will have a book display. Usborne Books & More distributes books through thousands of independent consultants.

"In addition to Reiki, the planning committee is very excited to announce new this year: yoga classes with expanded accessibility for persons of all abilities in conjunction with S.T.A.R.S. (Special Times And Recreation); chair massage courtesy of Effervescence Yoga Spa, and military outreach through Joined Forces Yoga Beaufort," stated Janie Ephland, Executive Director, Born To Read Inc." She continued, "National Family Literacy Day, November 1, kicks off National Family Literacy Month. Celebrated across America, this day focuses on special activities and events that showcase the importance of family literacy programs."

Register at the door. At-will donations to further Born To Read Inc.'s literacy efforts in the lowcountry will be accepted.
