Sacred Heart High School to Present "Godspell" on Dec. 7th and 8th

KINGSTON, Mass. - Dec. 4, 2018 - PRLog -- Sacred Heart School (www.sacredheartkingston.com), a private, Catholic, co-educational school for students in preschool through grade 12, will present "Godspell" on Friday December 7^th at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday December 8^th at 3:00 p.m. with tickets $5 for students under the age of 18 and $15 for adults.  The play will be performed in the high school auditorium.

The popular musical will be presented as part of the Sacred Heart High School's Main Stage Program. "Godspell" is a new retelling of the Gospel according to Saint Matthew; it combines classic narration with song and avant-garde story-telling techniques to bring to life the parables and teachings of Jesus Christ.

For decades, this musical has engaged and entertained audiences, with each production offering a different perspective and theme. Sacred Heart has chosen to set the play inside a theater, making use of old set pieces and props to illustrate Jesus' messages of kindness, tolerance, and love.

During intermission Sacred Heart students will be raising money for Music for All, a charity run through St. Mary and St. Mena Coptic Church, which spreads the joy of playing music to underprivileged students.
