Speaking about the project development, Eng. Madiya Al Marri, Director of Properties and Project Division at Union Coop said, "We started the necessary formalities for signing the contract with the Consultant, thereby initiating the 'first' phase of the implementation stage of establishing Umm Al Quwain Cooperative Market. The Coop will cover an area of 80, 000 sq. m, with an estimated cost of AED 40 Million. We are paying extreme attention to details especially in terms of design and construction process so as to adopt the highest international standards and specifications in the construction of markets, retail shops, in addition to providing adequate parking spaces for the shoppers to have the best overall experience."

"The project consists of a basement with parking spaces and a ground floor consisting of hypermarkets and shops, plus two -1^st and 2^nd floors that include apartments of different sizes ranging from studio to three rooms. Our primary objective remains to diversify the income resources, utilize the space better and thereby contribute to an increase in shareholder returns and overall profits," adds Al Marri
