This umbrella shovel works excellent. It was easy to dig the hole. Blade changes to horizontal so when you back fill the hole it stays put. It is strong (made out of all metal). Only the knob to screw in the umbrella handle is plastic, but still strong. Once the base was in the ground my umbrella pole fit snuggly into the handle. Even on windy days my umbrella barely moved. LOVE IT!
