GET CEO Dain Schult Welcomes Roger "Hurricane" Wilson to Handle Blues Programming and MYUSIC

AUGUSTA, Ga. - March 8, 2018 - PRLog -- Global Entertainment Technology, Inc., ("GET"), a Wyoming C corporation, has announced that Roger "Hurricane" Wilson will be involved in all its Blues programming.

GET CEO, Dain L. Schult, stated, "We're firming up the details on a weekend (short form) show – Going Down to the Crossroads - that will be the prelude to all of GET's Blues programming in the future, certainly another facet of its Internet Radio initiative.  There really is no other person to whom we could turn and entrust the programming of Blues as well as Americana and Classic Country to other than Roger.

"As noted on Wikipedia, 'Roger "Hurricane" Wilson is an American electric blues guitarist, singer and songwriter. He has also worked as a music educator, radio DJ, music journalist and broadcaster. In addition he is an advisory board member of the Georgia Music Industry Association, and an International Blues Challenge judge. He has released twenty albums. Wilson started playing professionally in 1972, and he has jammed with Les Paul, Hubert Sumlin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert Collins, Roy Buchanan, Savoy Brown, Magic Slim, Michael Burks, and Charlie Musselwhite. He has also shared the stage with B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Little Milton, John Mayall, Marcia Ball, Delbert McClinton, Taj Mahal, Leon Russell, and Edgar Winter.'

"Roger and I go back all the way to high school in Atlanta.  Together we formed Circus Maximus – an Atlanta talent and booking agency in 1972 that handled bands for years.  We worked together at Georgia State University's WRAS as well.  His dual backgrounds in music (as a performer) and in radio brings a wealth of experience and expertise that will help GET on several levels.

"Blues is a music category created in the Deep South before 1900. Blues incorporates spirituals, work songs, field hollers, shouts, chants, and rhymed simple narrative ballads. The blues form, universal in jazz, rhythm and blues and rock and roll, is characterized by the call-and-response pattern, the blues scale and specific chord progressions. The twelve-bar blues is the most common.

"Roger's involvement will include the creation of various short and long form programming elements that will be available through GET's Miracle Wonderland Radio Company syndication wing.  This will allow him to not just handle Blues, but also Americana and even Classic Country programming.

"Additionally, Roger will be a crucial part of the MYUSIC operation as he can participate in all three areas of it – the setup of the musician version of social media like LinkedIn; the marketplace for MP3 sales of independent artists' product; and online musical instrument training.  Having taught guitar since 1974, he is particularly suited for the creation of MYUSIC."
