Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center Welcomes Two New Members to Board of Directors
Bailo brings with her a variety of qualities and connections that will benefit the Board of Directors. In her current role as President and CEO of CAR, Bailo leverages her 35 years of experience in the automotive industry to effectively lead the organization. Additionally, Bailo serves as the 2016-2018 Vice President of Automotive for SAE International, a global association comprised of more than 138,000 engineers and technical experts in industries such as aerospace, automotive and commercial-vehicle. Previously, Bailo held the position of Ohio State's Assistant Vice President for Mobility Research and Business Development, where she helped the university accelerate sustainable mobility and transportation innovation.
"Carla will make a great addition to the Board," said Pete Rosenkrands, Chairman of the Board. "She has worked with many large, notable organizations in the past. She will bring a lot of experience, passion and insight to our group, as well as an impressive network of connections. We look forward to welcoming her to the Board."
As Vice President of Manufacturing at Peckham, Inc., Terris has an established reputation for operational excellence. Due to his extensive experience with leading teams in continuous improvement initiatives, Terris has received a number of recognitions including placing first in Industry Week's "Best Plants" award, as well as earning the Michigan Manufacturer of the Year award from the Michigan Manufacturers Association. In addition, Peckham recently received certification from the Department of Labor for its Master Craftsman Sewing Machine Apprenticeship program, the first-of-its-
