Uplift, Inc. to pilot OPEN IT School Concept to reduce shortage of computer programmers

Plethora of Computer Programming Jobs vs Shortage of Computer Programmers Detroit nonprofit seeks to reduce the shortage by enabling mobile/ flexible IT Training for those adults who are time challenged.
DETROIT - Nov. 28, 2017 - PRLog -- Uplift, Inc. is in the process of transitioning Automation Workz from an outreach/ recruiting event to Automation Workz 4 U, an OPEN IT SCHOOL, for residents who are struggling to find time to attend skills retraining. Many Detroiters are in poverty as they had to secure minimum wage jobs after suffering massive layoffs when manufacturing transitioned to automation. These Detroiters don't have time to "attend" IT classes to update their skills, but they do desire jobs as computer programmers.

Here is the typical day of a Detroit resident in poverty.

Hours  Activity
Scrambling to get children ready for school
2  Mass transit commute to work
8  Work at a minimum wage job
2  Mass transit commute from work
 2  Preparing dinner
 1  Overseeing children's homework
 1  Overseeing children's bedtime
 6  Sleep
24 hours  In A Day

An OPEN IT SCHOOL allows adults to complete IT theory online and then DROP into experiential learning labs spread throughout the city. An OPEN IT SCHOOL provides a flexible option to prepare for IT certification anytime, anywhere. Armed with IT certification, Detroit residents can secure high paying IT jobs.

If you desire to assist Detroit neighborhoods rebound economically, INVEST in Automation Workz 4 U http://upliftinc.org/automation_workz.aspx
