Anti Rogue Trader Broadcaster Trumped by Poor Service Company

ALICANTE, Spain - March 29, 2017 - PRLog -- Richard' The Big H' Hannah, award winning Broadcaster and entertainer, also a bit of a prankster himself, thought he was being subjected to a cruel prank, when Hunts International's £4500 house move doubled in price, with Hunts holding his house contents to ransom until he paid.

The Broadcaster and Partner, Lorraine Bubb who live in Spain hired the Redditch based Mover, to move the contents of their Majorcan Villa into storage on the Spanish mainland ahead of a move to a new home in Alicante.  The move was priced at £4,500 including a premium  pack and wrap service – so not only would Hunts load the household content but pack and wrap.  Hannah paid up front and then it seemed Customer service broke down.  Hunts Majorcan partner arrived on the Friday and professionally did a complete House Survey.  They ticked off the items on the inventory provided by Hannah's partner and because the heavens had opened told the homeowners that they would pack today and pack on the morrow.  Hannah was a tad nervous because the one day move was now two.  They had to book a hotel and he received assurance that this was all on plan and would not cost extra.  An uneventful Saturday passed, Hannah and Bubb helped with packing a couple of boxes and folks it was all good.

Sunday – drama arrived.  The same crew advised the Broadcaster that they only had a couple of hours to load.  Shock!  The crew was frantically loading the Van, Hannah and Bubb packed 23 boxes – it was on.  But at 10.30am with all possibility of a two-hour load spent -  Van number 1 left racing for Palma port.  Rattled, Hannah had taken the onsite foreman aside and asked how the last part of his goods would be shipped.  The foreman  offered generously to come back next week – Hannah called Hunts concerned.  No plan was provided, no solutions offered – the former Comic could find nothing funny in the situation.    Hannah insisted (read into this incandescent fury) that the company must make arrangements at its own  expense to get his home to Alicante – all of it.  The onsite organiser made a phone call to the office a second truck arrived, blood pressure was lowered.  Hannah  thought they were home and hosed.

The truth only became clear afterwards when Hunts raised a £1500 bill for what they described was extra items.  They then played their Trump card (more on Trump later) pay us or you don't get your goods – ah yes, customer service.

There representative then denied that there was an issue with regard to the Ferry.  He confirmed that the site survey and their quotation meant nothing, the actual cubic measurement was what it was all about.  He denied that a phone call had been made by the onsite manager, he denied he had been er…economic with the truth about everything and denied there was no plan.  Oh, and we chose to pack 23 boxes after paying for a premium service -  that was our fault.  A masterful Trump like performance completely re writing events – punctuated by demands to pay him or else.

The whole affair had Hannah searching for hidden cameras and Ant and Dec leaping out of a hiding place saying "Just kidding".  Instead the reality of the cost of the move doubling, including extra flights, taxis, hotels and not knowing where their goods were, kicked in and the Broadcaster fired off email after email to be dismissed out of hand by Hunts International.

"It's a chastening experience" confessed Hannah" Its normally me pranking the rogue traders and fighting these Guys – they got me good.  Fibbed, fiddled, denied but ultimately this unprofessional outfit doubled the cost of our move and extracted the extra dosh – whilst denying wrong doing! It will make a great segment for my show in the new season, I am sure others have faced the same".  Hunts will be asked to comment on air, Hannah doubts they will do so without being paid upfront
