Local Businesses Donate to Golisano Children's Hospital

VICTOR, N.Y. - Nov. 2, 2016 - PRLog -- L-Tron Corporation is pleased to announce the conclusion of its First Annual Charitable Book Drive to benefit Golisano Children's Hospital's Reach Out and Read program. L-Tron, along with several other Rochester-area businesses, donated approximately 150 hardcover children's books to the Reach Out and Read program.

L-Tron would like to thank both its employees and the local businesses who contributed to make the book drive a success, including Carmella DeRose - Usborne Books and More; Eastside Pediatrics; Jamison Eye Care; Joe Giancursio - RE/MAX Realty Group; and Lime Energy.

Reach Out and Read (http://reachoutandread.org/) is a nation-wide program with a mission of providing young children, ages 6 months to 5 years old, "a foundation for success by incorporating books into pediatric care and encouraging families to read aloud together." The goal is to encourage parents to read with their children at home, supporting the development of literacy and good reading habits. Golisano Children's Hospital's program does not have a budget and relies solely on brand-new books supplied from donations, grants and fundraisers.
