NEW YORK - Oct. 7, 2016 - PRLog -- Innovative technologies have significantly improved patient data collection, but what happens with that data and is a patient's privacy guaranteed? Health experts will discuss these and other digital health-related topics at the German Center for Research and Innovation New York on October 10, 2016.

Over the past 30 years healthcare experts have been developing methods to improve data aggregation for patients. How far has electronic record collection come since then? Technology has made it possible for virtually anyone to gather health-related data on themselves and the mechanisms to process and analyze data have been improving as well. This promises more and potentially disruptive technologies to change the healthcare landscape as we know it today. What happens with that data and how can it be used to benefit both the patient and the healthcare provider? How can we ensure that new types of technology can further evolve while at times sensitive data must be protected and patients' privacy guaranteed? Join us for an exciting panel discussion with experts from Germany and the U.S. who will present their cutting-edge research and address these important questions.
