Brian Danzinger Announces Winners of the 4th Annual Celebrity Red Zone Challenge

GREEN BAY, Wis. - Sept. 5, 2016 - PRLog -- Brian Danzinger and District 11 completed another successful "Celebrity Red Zone Challenge" on Saturday, July 16th, 2016, as part of Open Streets Green Bay and Fit Fest. The annual flag football challenge included 30 area celebrities, personalities, elected officials, and media members who took to the gridiron to help promote healthy active lifestyles in the community as well as raise food for area pantries.

Now in their 4th year, the "Celebrity Red Zone Challenge" pitted the Aurora BayCare Blue squad, captained by Mr. Mike Schmidt and Mr. Tim Clusman against Team Walgreens White, headed by County Supervisor Erik Hoyer and Ms. Alicia Schram. Other notable participant included Mr. Jeff Bollier, Mr. Brian Johnson, Mr. John Egan, Mr. Vanya Koepke, and others. This year's contest came down to the final play of the game as the Aurora BayCare Blue team made a defensive stand at the 5 yard line to deny Walgreens White the lead. With a final score of 40 to 33, Mr. Tim Clusman improves to 2-1-1 in Red Zone play.

Like last year, a number community partners collected canned food donations during the month of July to benefit area Pantries and the "Food Drive 5". Total donations by each community partner were calculated and the winner of this year's Corporate Collection Challenge was Bank Mutual.

Brian Danzinger and those of District 11 would like to thank all of the partners and volunteers who have helped support this event and in our pursuit of raising 100,000 pounds of food every year for our community.

The "Celebrity Red Zone Challenge" looks forward to being part of Open Streets Green Bay and Fit Fest in 2017.
