As Maher addressed how REFERCO works with companies to avoid such failures, he explained the (7L) system he developed in his five-year real estate best-seller, The Seven Levels of Communication: Go from Relationships to Referrals. The three lowest levels of communication, Maher described, are advertising, direct mail, and electronic communication. Though great for informing, these methods are not suggested by Maher for selling. The middle level of communication is handwritten notes, which REFERCO does as a service for clients. Finally, the top three forms in the high level are phone calls, events or seminars, and most important one on one meetings. Maher explained these three to Llewelyn as powerful for influencing, convincing, and selling to clients.

In discussion with Llewelyn, Maher also gave an introduction to his company's new flagship offering, ReferCRM (Community Referral Managers.)
