| Albert's Table Awarded 2 RosettesLocal Restaurant Becomes The First In Croydon To Be Awarded AA Rosettes
By: Kennedy PR The award is a great milestone, personally and professionally for head chef and owner Joby Wells. "It is a great honor to receive Rosettes. It is a sign that we are producing a very high standard of food and we are absolutely thrilled. I just want to thank all of our staff for their hard work, and our fantastic customers for their unwavering support these last few years." Joby opened Albert's Table in 2008 after working in the some of London's most prestigious restaurants. He wanted to create food in a simpler and more honest way that was more about the ingredients being used than the techniques used on them. In 2011 Jay Rayner reviewed Albert's Table for the Guardian saying that it was "a solid, sturdy restaurant knocking out solid, sturdy dishes full of flavours that loiter after you've finished" In 2012 Albert's Table received a mention in the Michelin Guide and was also listed in the Hardens Good Food Guide. Joby and his team have been quietly plugging away since then, providing an experience that is very different from other restaurants in the area. Sourcing ingredients from suppliers nationwide that highlight the quality of British farms. Last year Joby worked with production company Etio to create a documentary on British produce, excerpts from this can be seen on the Albert's Table website.
