Canine is shocked to find humans doing unexpected act

TELLICO VILLAGE, Tenn. - April 9, 2016 - PRLog -- Ten-year old Max A Pooch has never in his life seen a human bend over and pick up a piece of litter. That is until he saw the Tellico Village volunteers hard at work picking up litter along the shoreline of Tellico lake.This is despite the fact the canny lab has spent most of his ten years patroling paths and hiking trails and picking up litter discarded by humans.

Keith Sanderson who is Max's human companion says, "I think Max was actually shocked when we showed up to help the volunteers from Tellico Village pick up litter along the lake's shoreline and he saw humans actually picking up litter and putting it in its place."

Max A Pooch's preferred clean-up route is the picturesque Hall Bend Trail that skirts the northwestern side of beautiful lake Tellico where he finds litter along the shoreline and trail and brings it back to Sanderson.

Hall Bend trail was built and jointly maintained by the TVA and Lenoir City BSA troop 354. It is unique in that it is one of the few trails where hikers can enjoy the great outdoors with their dogs off leash.

Each year Tellico Village volunteers join a cleanup of the shoreline  of Tellico Lake  that is organized by WATeR (Watershed Association of the Tellico Reservoir)..

John Cherry, Tellico Village POA public relations manager was aware of Max A Pooch's green nature and invited the talented canine to make a cameo appearance in the video news release they were shooting of the cleanup event.https://vimeo.com/160936033



Says Cherry, "It was a fun day to include Max A Pooch in our video shoot." Cherry continued by saying. "The two-legged cleanup crews were all impressed with Max's skills."
