RNBian’s Attend Business Delhi Annual Session and Business Conference organised by CII

MBA students of RNB Global University attended Delhi State Annual Session and Business Conference at Indian Habitat Centre (IHC), New Delhi organised by CII which aimed to discuss the economic growth.

DELHI, India - March 7, 2016 - PRLog -- The conference was a complete gamut of all the top leaders and industrialists. It commenced with the welcome note and work plan review by the Director of Horizon Industrial Products Pvt. Ltd. and Chairperson of CII, Dr. Alka Kaul who was also the session moderator, which was followed by eight sessions taken by the ace leaders.

The spokes person of the first session was Mr. Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister, Govt. of NCT of Delhi who congratulated CII Delhi state council on organising its annual session and for choosing theme ‘Build Delhi- Powering for Future’. He said that Delhi is lacking in the sector of skill development and emphasized on promoting the capital as a “knowledge hub of India” which is possible not only by increasing the number of educational institutes but by inculcating innovation and skills among the students. In her interactive session Former Chief Minister of Delhi Ms. Sheila Dixit said that Delhi is one of the best and unique city with limited space yet faces a lot many issues like water, health and hygiene and in complementing to what she said Mr. Satish Upadhyay, President, BJP Delhi emphasised that all the habitants of Delhi must also take the liability of making Delhi a clean city. Mr. Kapil Mishra, Minister of Tourism and Water of Delhi shared how Delhi government is working on many projects to increase inflow of tourist and making Delhi a world class tourist destination.

Mr. Arun Goel, Vice Chairman, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) talked about the scenario of Real Estate in Delhi whereas in his session on Green Economy, Mr Imran Hussain, Minister of Food & Supply, Environment & Forest, Election, Government of NCT of Delhi shared how the Delhi Govt. is working in making Delhi a Green City. Mr Gopal Rai, Minister of Labour, Transport, Employment and Development and Mr. Arun Arora, Divisional Railway Manager, Northern Railways, talked about the status and scope of improvement in Transportation and Railways in Delhi respectively. During the conference a leadership programme ‘CII and Fever 104 Corporate Mantra’ was also launched with the objective to provide a platform to young professionals wherein they could interact with Delhi’s top business leaders.

Besides the opportunity to be audience of such leaders the students also got the chance to meet and interact with people like Mr. Madhav Shriram (Vice chairman, CII), Mrs Rumjhum Chatterjee (Deputy Chairperson, CII Northern Region), Mr Shreekant  Somany (Chairman, CII Northern Region), Mr Kush Kapoor (General Manager, Dusit D2, New Delhi), Mr K B Kachru (Chairman- South Asia, Carlson Rezidor Hotels), Mr Ashish Chandra (General Council, Snapdeal), Mr Rahul Munjal (Convener, CII Delhi Panel on Environment & Sustainability) The conference gave the students broader perspective on issues of economy and development in context of the capital of India.
