Eurotech Launches the ReliaGATE 10-11, new ARM-based IoT Gateway

AMARO, Italy - Feb. 22, 2016 - PRLog -- Eurotech (http://www.eurotech.com/), a leading provider of embedded systems, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) platforms and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, today launched the ReliaGATE 10-11 (http://www.eurotech.com/en/products/ReliaGATE%2010-11), a compact IoT gateway for industrial and lightly rugged applications.

The ReliaGATE 10-11 is the latest addition to a family of software-defined IoT Gateways, designed to provide well balanced products in terms of performance, features and price, for many typical IoT applications.

Based on the TI AM335X Cortex-A8 (Sitara) processor family, with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of eMMC and a user-accessible microSD slot, the ReliaGATE 10-11 is a low power (2W typical) gateway suitable for intensive workloads in industrial and automotive applications: it supports up to two protected 232/485 serial ports, 2 CAN bus interfaces, 2 noise and surge protected USB ports, and 4 isolated digital interfaces.

The ReliaGATE 10-11 features a wide range of connectivity capabilities, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy, and 2 Fast Ethernet ports.

The ReliaGATE 10-11 supports the ReliaCELL 10-20, a global cellular module pre-certified with the major cellular carriers. The ReliaGATE 10-11 is also available with an internal global cellular modem pre-certified with select carriers. GPS geolocation is also optionally available on cellular-enabled models.

Very compact and E-Mark certified, with a 9 to 36V wide-range power supply providing transient protection and vehicle ignition sense, the ReliaGATE 10-11 is a very versatile platform for automotive applications where space comes at a premium.

For ease of programmability and additional flexibility of applications, the ReliaGATE 10-11 comes with the genuine Oracle Java SE Embedded 8 Virtual Machine and the Everyware™ Software Framework (ESF), a commercial, enterprise-ready edition of Eclipse Kura, the open source Java/OSGi middleware for IoT gateways. Distributed and supported by Eurotech, ESF adds advanced security, diagnostics, provisioning, remote access and management thanks to its full integration with Everyware™ Cloud (EC), Eurotech’s IoT integration platform (available separately).

In addition to the standard configurations, Eurotech offers many personalization options (MOQ might apply) for the ReliaGATE 10-11, including:

-       High speed CPU SKUs (up to 1GHz, 2000 DMIPS)

-       Internal cellular modems (any Telit HE910 compatible modem)

-       TPM

-       Expansion connector (I2C, SPI, I2S, power)
