Michael Rosone of Arista Air Conditioning Joins MSCA Marketing Committee

LONG ISLAND, N.Y. - Feb. 19, 2016 - PRLog -- Long Island City, NY, February 15, 2015— Michael Rosone, Director of Sales and Marketing for Arista Air Conditioning in New York City, has been named to the Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA) Marketing Committee. The group, along with MSCA’s Education Committee, is tasked with developing programs to support the HVACR industry as well as the organization’s yearly educational conference.

Members of MSCA’s Education and Marketing Committee met in January to set its initiatives in motion for the year. The committee formed several task forces to work on priority initiatives for the MSCA, including recruiting technicians, plumbing service, technology, a local service program, and the organization’s annual benchmark survey. Michael Rosone of Arista will serve on the recruiting task force, which will focus on developing programs to inform member companies about the need to proactively recruit, as well as promote strategies for doing so.

“The HVACR industry is likely to experience a critical labor shortage in the years to come if we don’t take proactive steps to recruit new talent now,” explained Rosone. “According to the US Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, our industry is slated to grow by 35 percent by the year 2020, while more than 30 percent of our workforce will retire in the same time period. Here at Arista, we have realized that it’s an issue we must address sooner rather than later. The goal of this task force is to help members secure our future workforce.”

At its January meeting, the committee also set the agenda for the 2016 MSCA Educational Conference, to be held in October, including the conference theme, education sessions, roundtable discussions, sponsorship opportunities, and a one-day bonus program. In addition, the group discussed a new initiative to promote and enhance connections between members and fellow contractors, vendors, customers, employees and the community.
