NYSE View from the Floor: Buying Opportunities in Energy and Financial Sectors

NEW YORK - Feb. 9, 2016 - PRLog -- Asset TV’s Courtney Woodworth joined Peter Costa, President of Empire Executions, at the New York Stock Exchange this past Friday to talk about what he believes are the best buying opportunities amidst a volatile market.

While all of the media attention is focused on topics such as currencies, China, and commodities, it can be hard to find information about other areas of the market that offer opportunities.  Many industry insiders feel the attention should instead be placed on earnings and potential company growth, as many companies have failed to meet earning expectations, causing enthusiasm to wane significantly.

However, with financials down over 10%, Peter Costa believes there are many opportunities to buy into this market at a low price and ultimately come out ahead.  “I think [a lot of] financials are really cheap, relatively speaking,” Peter explains.  “These are great companies that are very well managed and they have tremendous cash flow.”

Peter also favors the oil market, despite its current volatility.  “My viewpoint is not two months down the road, my viewpoint is 6 months to a year. I think you will be very happy being in the energy sector…in the financials definitely.  I think they’re both buying opportunities.”
