ATLANTA - Dec. 1, 2015 - PRLog -- ATLANTA, GA. – October 1, 2015  Local organizations and community leaders were recognized during the annual E3 Atlanta Award hosted by the Metro Atlanta Chamber on September 24th. The event brought together industry thought leaders and green organizations from the region to honor their dedication to developing clean technologies, supporting sustainable projects, and collaborating with universities to create new, environmentally friendly products and services.

“Atlanta is a place that brings the environment and the economy together. We have many organizations and individuals who work every day to conserve metro Atlanta’s natural resources and advance our clean tech sector. The Metro Atlanta Chamber E3 Awards recognizes their efforts and commitment to preserving our environment and creating a sustainable future and economy,” explains Dave Williams – VP, Infrastructure & Government Affairs at the Metro Atlanta Chamber.

Three finalists in each of seven categories were selected and announced in September 2015:

·         Liquid Assets (Water);

·         Built Environment;

·         Clean Tech Innovation;

·         New Venture;

·         Moving the Needle (Transportation)

·         Community Strong

·         Trident Award (Individual Achievement)

The E3 Atlanta Awards not only highlights the work of innovatively green organizations but also recognizes individuals within the metro Atlanta community who have brought vision and leadership to local sustainability efforts. The 21 E3 Atlanta Award finalists all share a common goal – to create environmentally-friendly processes and technology that will protect vital natural resources. To capture the finalists’ passion and dedication to future sustainability, the Metro Atlanta Chamber partnered with storytelling experts, Friendly Human – a silver sponsor of the E3 Atlanta Awards.

“These finalists all deserve to have their stories told. It is our way of saying  ‘thank you’ for their creativity and interest in finding ways to save and conserve our environment.
