STEAMPUNK PARIS by Selena Chambers and Arthur Morgan, coming September 2016

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Sept. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- Pelekinesis announces the acquirement of STEAMPUNK PARIS by Selena Chambers and Arthur Morgan, set to be released September 2016. The duo will be conducting their on-site research this September, and will be offering behind-the-scenes looks via Facebook, Twitter, and on their website at SteampunkParis.com.

Selena Chambers, co-author of the Hugo and World Fantasy nominated THE STEAMPUNK BIBLE (Abrams Image), and Arthur Morgan, co-author of LE GUIDE STEAMPUNK (ActsuSF) and LA FRANCE STEAMPUNK (Editions Mnémos), have been exploring the concept of Steampunk travel since 2011, when they embarked on a tour together in Paris and deconstructed some of its most popular sites into a new Steampunk context. The result was a well-received essay, including photographs by Parisian fashion photographer Nicolas Meunier, published in MUNGBEING magazine in 2013. Having only scratched the surface of Steampunk Paris, Chambers and Morgan are setting out to expand their interests into a full travel guide featuring photographs, maps, charts, and colorful descriptions.

Steampunk is an aesthetic movement that takes inspiration from the nineteenth century science fiction of Jules Verne and H. G. Wells, and has been enjoying a growing and evolving popularity since the 1980s, evolving from its U.S./U.K. roots to encompass historical reimaginings all over the world. Steampunk Paris will educate and entertain the reader about the important contributions France made in the arts, science, and industrial revolution of the nineteenth century.
