First in South America: Ventus Ingenieria in Uruguay Chooses Breeze for Wind Farm Management

MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay - June 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Uruguay-based Ventus Ingenieria has chosen the Breeze system for wind farm management. This marks the first wind farm on the South American continent to be installed in Breeze.

The Libertad wind farm in the San Jose department has 4 Vestas V100 1.8 / 2.0 MW turbines with a total generating capacity of 7.7 MW. The wind farm has been producing power since June 2014 and sells power on the spot market.  Uruguay aims to generate as much as 38% of its power from wind by 2018.
