Revered Chef de Cuisine Takes the Helm at Phoenix Hotel and Revamps Menu Programs

Chef Devin Delnicki Presides as Resident Culinarian at Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport

PHOENIX - June 9, 2015 - PRLog -- The Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport hotel announces the promotion of a new Chef, Devin Delnicki, who now oversees the hotel property’s food and beverage programs. As part of his new responsibilities, Delnicki is revamping the property’s menus to bring easy, affordable and approachable options to the hotel’s guests. Examples of new items include healthier menu items for busy guests on the go, a revamped dinner menu and an Express Breakfast (seven minutes or less), including The Dutchman Country Quiche. Also new to the menu is the mouthwatering 44th Street Burrito. Healthy items include 'The Skinny', a baked multigrain tortilla bowl filled with roasted spinach, house made chicken jalapeno sausage; topped with two poached fresh eggs, avocado, pico de gallo and touch of cotija cheese.

Delnicki completed his culinary studies at the prestigious Le Cordon Blue College of Culinary Arts in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Bringing a wealth of life and professional experience to his culinary career, Devin was recruited upon graduation to work at L’Auberge de Sedona.  He trained in French-American inspired cuisine and mastered the nuances of fine dining. Chef Devin refined his eye for detail and techniques in high end plating, creating dishes while working with the freshest local produce, herbs and seasonings.

Chef Devin’s fare at the charming Horn Restaurant in the Verde Valley of Arizona received rave reviews and an enthusiastic following for its fresh, innovative, and diverse style. He ran a from-scratch kitchen and crafted a sophisticated but small town friendly menu, often pushing the limits with upscale dinner specials. Chef Devin’s original menu and signature dishes were featured in Arizona Highways Magazine in 2013 and were included as one of the Top 50 Restaurants in Arizona Highways magazine the same year.  Devin’s cuisine could also be found featured in Phoenix Magazine as well as the promotional materials for The Taste of the Verde Valley.

Chef Devin brought his fine dining skills and creative talent to The Post restaurant in late 2013. The inception of The Post restaurant was part of a $10 million renovation and re-branding project of The Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport Hotel. The Post is an elegant eatery featuring an upscale French/Southwestern inspired menu, and serves a 290 room hotel.  Devin’s skills have been fully utilized in managing the full-service kitchen, which is open for service 18 hours daily, and also provides service to banquets, Perch Lounge, room service, and an employee dining room.  In-spite of working in a high volume environment, Chef Devin is still committed to local, fresh ingredients and bringing passion, intensity and meticulous attention to detail in all his dishes.

“It’s a pleasure and an honor to accept the new positon running the hotels’ food and beverage programs,” states Chef Devin Delnicki.  “I’m up for the challenge of overhauling our menus to bring fresh, approachable and healthy options to our guests. My goal is to offer more than ‘just hotel food’ and create a memorable dining experience for our guests.”
