Local Phoenix Airport Hotel Awarded Coveted International Accolade

PHOENIX - Nov. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- The Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport hotel is proud to announce the distinguished honor of having won the IHG Family of Hotels respected “Newcomer Award” for this past year. Announced at the 2015 Americas Investors & Leadership Conferences, the award is given to hotels that are considered the best additions to the IHG Family of Hotels, which includes the Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo properties and others. This particular award was given to only three Crowne Plaza properties in the entire global chain this year, and is considered a premier accolade within the hospitality community.

Under new management and after successfully completing a multi-million dollar renovation last year, the Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport hotel is the closest hotel to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and the only hotel with direct access to the Sky Train in metro Phoenix, Arizona. After careful review and consideration by a selection committee composed of IHG executives, the “Newcomer Award” was bestowed upon the property from a list of thirty different hotels under the IHG flag in the Americas.

The IHG Family of Hotels includes nine brands, spanning 4,900 hotels in nearly 100 territories and countries. Notable brands include Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts, four Holiday Inn brands, Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites and more.
