Go Eat Give and Mexican Cultural Institute to Host Yucatan Dinner Event

Go Eat Give, Mexico Tourism, Yucatan Tourism, and AeroMexico, will host Destination Mexico on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, to celebrate the culture and cuisine of the beautiful region of Yucatan.
 
WASHINGTON - April 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Go Eat Give, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to global cultural education and awareness, together with Mexico Tourism, Yucatan Tourism, and AeroMexico, will host Destination Mexico on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, to celebrate the culture and cuisine of the beautiful region of Yucatan.

The event will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at the historic Mexico Cultural Institute of Washington, DC (2829 16th St, NW). Guests will experience the flavors of distinctive Yucatecan dishes, including traditional panuchos, pavo en escabeche, cochinita pibil, and relleno negro, along with house drinks, such as tamarindo and mango margaritas.

Speakers native to Mexico will share with guests the rich history and culture of Yucatan, a diverse region located in southeastern Mexico. In addition, a dance group will delight guests with colorful performances of traditional Yucatan dances. Arrive at 6:30 pm to experience a guided tour of the Mexico Cultural Institute and view contemporary Mexican art on display at the landmark building. There will also be goody bags and door prizes, including a chance to win roundtrip flights on AeroMexico and hotel stays in the Yucatan Peninsula.

Destination Mexico will be an entertaining evening filled with delicious food, engaging speeches, and spirited music and dancing. The event will educate guests about Yucatan and allow them to experience the region’s ancient culture and traditions without leaving DC.
