No second chances with flood defence

DROITWICH SPA, U.K. - Feb. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Over the past seven years, UK Flood Barriers (UKFB), the country’s leading designer, supplier and installer of flood defence solutions, has protected more than 3,000 homes and business premises nationwide.

But sadly more and more people are living with the consequences of damaging floods, and in the past 12 months UKFB has doubled its workforce and opened new offices in Droitwich, Newcastle and Boston to cope with this increased demand.

Quality control is a fundamental principle for all of UKFB’s 36 certified engineers, but just to be doubly sure it’s appointed a dedicated Quality Control Inspector.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the building trade, more recently specialising in flood defence, the role will be undertaken by Eric Pugh.

Eric has worked at UKFB installing industry-leading, Kitemarked flood defence products for the past seven years and was an obvious candidate for the role.

Eric will focus on quality checking and approving installations across all nationwide projects to ensure UKFB is constantly improving its service.

UKFB has completed over 60Property Level Flood Protection schemes for local authorities across the country as well as on the Environment Agency’s Framework 24428.  Its recommended Kitemarked flood defence products are manufactured by its sister company, Flood Angel, and include the Flood Defender single and double barriers and the Flood Defender Door.  Other products include anti-flood airbricks, anti-flood airbrick covers and sewage defence products such as non-return valves, backwater valves and toilet bungs.
