BEIJING - Jan. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- In an effort to increase the student body from China, Language Systems International College of English has strategically partnered with an expert in the field of international education in China.

In October 2014, Language Systems CEO A. Manjarrez,  Admissions Manager Q. Pang and Academic Director M. Buell traveled to Beijing for a week long trip full of meetings with Chinese officials and professionals related to student study abroad.

Language Systems started out its week meeting with the Vice Chairmen and Executive Secretary – General for the Committee on Self-Funded Study Abroad Service, CEAIE.  He shared his vast knowledge of International education for Chinese students from his many years of experience working at the Chinese consulate in Los Angeles.

The Language Systems group also visited Beijing City University, where Language Systems held a press conference, open to the Chinese media and students. In the press conference, presentations about the school and its background were made and questions from the media and students were answered. “We are here in China to learn about the academic goals and needs of Chinese students and to present the many programs and services Language Systems offers to students studying abroad,” said Ms. Buell after the press conference.

In the next round of meetings, the Language Systems team met with the Secretary General and the Deputy Secretary General of the Beijing Association for Non-Governmental Education. Both shared their expertise on the trends related to Chinese students studying abroad and the long-term goals in assisting Chinese students in their international learning experience. Having studied abroad in the U.S. as an international student, Language Systems Admissions Manager Ms. Pang said, “I’ve experienced the challenges involved in studying abroad and I would like to find a way to make studying English and going on to colleges and universities more accessible to Chinese students.”

The Language Systems team finished off their week by attending the Chinese Annual Conference for International Education 2014, specifically sitting in on discussions in the Forum on Study Abroad Services. “We gained valuable insight today on the current trends and future goals of international education for Chinese students,” said CEO Mr. Manjarrez.

In addition to several important meetings, Language Systems representatives took some time to see some of the sights around Beijing, such as Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall. They also had a chance to sample a variety of traditional Chinese dishes and experience the hospitality of the Chinese people. “I’m glad that we came to China to meet with such knowledgeable and hospitable people related to international study.  Language Systems has a lot to offer Chinese students studying in the United States and we hope to educate more students about our programs and services in the future,” said CEO,  Mr. Manjarrez.
