LogicTree Announces onTime, an Innovative Real-Time Transit Platform

DENVER - Oct. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- This month, LogicTree, LLC unveiled onTime, the newest addition to its expansive lineup of software offerings.

onTime is an innovative real-time transit platform that combines cloud based mobile applications for iOS, Android and Windows and text message (SMS) arrival and departure information. This solution involves no recurring operations or maintenance fees and delivers implementation at a low cost to transit authorities.

The demand for public transit continues to grow. Since 1995, transit ridership has grown by nearly 3 billion trips. Coupled with this demand is the growing desire for real-time arrival and departure information. In fact, many authorities are already set up for real-time delivery; in 2013, 62 percent of transit authorities utilized an Automatic Vehicle Locator (AVL) system, which allows for accurate dispersal of real-time arrival and departure information.

With the integration of GTFS & GTFS-RT Data into the mobile applications developed on the OneBusAway framework, transit patrons will be able to get transit information based on their GPS coordinates or unique Stop Number.

Additional features include the ability to view the map display of stops and routes, bookmark favorite stops, and search by stop name, address, or unique stop number. The mobile applications are developed by LogicTree, LLC under the OnTime branch and hosted in the public cloud by ViaWest, Inc.
