PRLog -- The urge to resist being “pigeon holed” as just another Medicare Set Aside company in the heavily vendor-populated world of business insurance is the motivating factor behind the decision by BMA West’s grass roots president's decision to open the doors on a new subrogation audit service.
“There’s no shortage of companies out there claiming to offer cost containment services to prospects. However, employers may not be in the market to contain costs. They may actually desire to cut costs and save money,” says Gus Ortiz, President of BMA West.
BMA West will begin test marketing a subrogation audit service to self-insured employers in Southern California beginning in November 2014. It is expected that the test market will help to discover hundreds of thousands of dollars in missed subrogation opportunities. Many workers comp claims examiners do not have the expertise to recognize anything but the most obvious subrogation opportunity. Coupled with their medical cost projections and settlement services, BMA West hopes to save employers significantly.
