Yes, its Chowderfest! Comic themed Clamiccon Showcases LBI Region as a Super Fall Destination

Oct. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Chowderfest weekend began with crowded merchant mart tents and eager shoppers picking up local bargains in time for gift giving and preparing for the holiday season. It was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon that included costumes, music, shopping, libations, and a chance to reconnect with old friends for a weekend at the beach.

The cleverly costumed crowd turned out in big numbers for the Annual Chowder Cook Off Classic which took place on a beautiful fall day, Sunday Oct 5 featured live music by long time favorite Hawkins Road, local gourmet food tent, and the 16 souper heroes of the day the restaurants that made and served white chowder Country Kettle Chowda, The Chicken or the Egg, TGI Friday’s Manahawkin, The Stockton Seaview, Howard’s, Phillips, Resorts,  Arcadia Rehab & Nursing and the red chowder Lefty’s, Shore Fire Grille, Sea Oaks Country Club, The Black Whale, Stefano’s, The Maine Course, Southern Smoke and Cuisine on the Green.  The people were there to judge, and there was much to discuss.
