MASON CITY, Iowa - Sept. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- My life over the last 2 years has read like a really bad country song. We are educated people with Masters Degrees, yet we are still having trouble making ends meet. March 2013, my wife lost her job as a college instructor and was provided unemployment. Great, right. That should give us some breathing room while she finds another job. Unfortunately, the college she worked at had a poor reputation among other colleges and she had difficulty getting interviews. May 2013, I found my congenital heart murmur had turned into a 4.5cm aortic aneurysm and began feeling as if I were a time bomb waiting to go off during this stress. August 16 2014, I lost my job in advertising sales, leaving us both on unemployment. On this same day, my car blew a head gasket leaving me stranded. I struggled to get home, traded cars with my wife so that I could go meet my boss only to find that my position had been eliminated as well. January 2014, Congress eliminates the extended emergency unemployment that was helping us pay our bills while we search for employment in the less than prosperous area of Northern Iowa.  March of this year, my wife finally finds employment! Awesome! We're on our way back up and can finally begin to catch up on our bills. (6 months behind in our mortgage by now, two months behind on our car payment, etc. etc.) May 31, 2014 I almost collapse while driving as the stress of my life has changed my aortic aneurysm. After multiple tests, I am stabilized on medicine and the heart palpitations (AFib) has stabilized.  6 months later, her boss has now become threatened that she is trying to take her job and wrongfully terminates her. We recently had our 20th year wedding anniversary and I was unable to buy her anything at all for a present.I have been struggling to start my own marketing business, but have found that it takes money to make money.  I have great ideas, but without the money to invest in my own company to  I'm powerless in gaining investors.  I now stand before you with both of us still without jobs, 1 car, mortgage is 9 months behind, car is 2 months behind, water heater is broke, oven is broke, kids need clothes, water bill is two months behind, electric bill is three months behind, etc. My relatives have no money to help out. We are literally living day to day as I struggle to keep the family budget above water. Many don't realize how expensive it is being broke! So, I am hoping and praying that I can receive some help through GoFundMe.  I ran a previous campaign on here to attempt to get funding for my business and received $0 contributions.  Can you please help me? My wife and I are both good people searching far and wide for jobs, but the jobs available are minimum wage positions who won't even take a look at people like us with professional experience. Even $5 will be greatly appreciated. You can visit my GoFundMe site at http://www.gofundme.com/es72tg
