EASTHAMPTON, Mass. - Feb. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- Sincere. Genuine. Witty. Heartfelt. This is the current buzz surrounding modern folk artist Dan Coyle, who brings his show to Easthampton on March 8th. The show begins at 7pm and is being offered free to the public.

"I just love meeting people and making friends around the world. I never actually meant to become a touring songwriter, that wasn't really a goal of mine, it just happened. I absolutely love it, I can't imagine what else I'd possibly be doing if I couldn't do this," said Coyle.

Artists and musicians are often cast in a selfish, self aggrandizing, arrogant light; but Coyle is just the opposite, and his fans seem to appreciate that.

"When you see him take the stage he just looks so happy and that's refreshing to see," explained Jean Gleason of Kansas City who's seen Coyle perform live three times. She added, "He's one of the sweetest, most genuine people you could meet, and that comes through at his live shows. It's not very common today, but I find it invigorating, and his energy is great to be around."

Perhaps it was being homeless twice in his life, or the unexpected death of his father in 2009 that caused Coyle to stick out from the crowd by being such a  down-to-earth performer. In any case, it's something he appreciates being known for.

"I was playing at a show in Germany and these two girls came up to me and asked, 'is it true you're so happy?' I wasn't quite sure what they meant so I asked if they could say it again. The other girl responded with, 'you look so happy when you're playing, is it true?' That was the first time I really noticed it, but they were completely right. It's pure bliss up there," said Coyle.
