NEW YORK - Aug. 5, 2014 - PRLog -- Singer/songwriter Dan Coyle, known for his heartfelt, quirky lyrics and intimate solo performances, has teamed up with San Francisco artist/producer Scott Mickelson to create his seventh major release--one that promises both wonder and thrills.

"Perfect Word. Perfect Beat." is a dynamic six-song EP full of unexpected arrangements, spoken word and a lot of twists and turns. Coyle's signature guitar playing and lyrical phrasing have never sounded better.

"It's really something special," said Coyle. "I took these songs to Scott (Mickelson) and we worked with them in a very fast, easily inspired way, to create an amplification of each song."

Combining his years of powerful, honest writing with Mickelson's expertise in nurturing more depth from each song has resulted in something grander. The duo is freshly dubbed "The Dan Coyle Wonder Thrills."

"The idea of 'The Wonder Thrills' makes sense to me on so many levels," explained Coyle. "We took these songs, figured out what was at their core and very quickly and easily found colorful ways to expand them. The quirks became quirkier, the beauty formed into something more beautiful. It's like an amusement park, every sense is heightened."

Those interested can keep an eye on Coyle's website to hear some of the new songs on the album in advance of its October 21, 2014 release.

Coyle and Mickelson will hit the road in September and October as a part of their ongoing 2014 national tour. Show details are listed on Coyle's website as well as on Mickelson's,

"Everyone says that they have something unique to offer, but I promise you, what Scott and I are doing on this album and at our live shows just isn't happening anywhere else, at least to the level at which we're delivering it," added Coyle.
