New Book Documents the Effects of Music on Listeners

Dec. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- RINGGOLD, Ga. – Jan Voerman, a Geeburg, Netherlands, resident, recently released a book titled Secret Messages. The book is a biblical and scientific study that reveals the effects that modern-day music can have on listeners and the church.

Voerman presents what he feels like are the real-life dangers that Christians face when they choose to listen to secular music. Covering everything from rock music to Contemporary Christian music, Voerman explains that the church’s desire to be up-to-date in the modern world has led it to accept music genres that do not glorify God.

Voerman has served as a pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for more than thirty-five years. Although retired, Voerman continues to preach, write books and articles, and study with people. In his spare time, Voerman built a small pipe organ for his home.

Secret Messages is published by TEACH Services, and is available through the publisher’s Web site (http://www.TEACHServices.com), Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or local bookstores by request.
