PRLog -- Robert Williams, a Lithonia, Georgia, resident, recently published his life story titled
Survival Under Adversity. The book chronicles his childhood in Jamaica and his quest to get an education and pursue his dream of becoming a physician.
When a village spiritualist told Williams he wouldn't amount to anything, Williams used the man's words as a catalyst to let nothing stand in his way of reaching his full potential. In addition to sharing his life story, Williams provides advice to readers about how to overcome adversity and how to use each challenge in life as a steppingstone to achieving success.
Williams currently serves as director of the Southside Behavioral Lifestyle Enrichment Center. After working as a pastor for eleven years, he pursued his dream of becoming a physician and graduated from medical school in 1973. Throughout his career, he has served in various positions in the medical field, including serving as the medical officer of health for the parish of Westmoreland, Jamaica, through the Jamaican Ministry of Health.
Williams holds a bachelor's degree in theology, a doctorate in medicine, a master's degree in public health, and a doctorate in holistic medicine.
