Amazon ReReleases A Book About How to Play Poker

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. - Nov. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- ORANGE COUNTY, CA - November 27, 2013 – Troy smith, author of, “How to Play Poker,” begins his book by explaining the concept of the poker face to his readers.  He states, “You have heard of the phrase “poker face.”  The term refers to a person with an inscrutable expression.  You can’t tell what his or her real expression is.”  He then continues, “The game of poker is as much a matter of luck as it is of skill – the skill of betraying your real emotions when holding your cards.”  This skill of concealing your emotions is important in any game of poker because you can't reveal the type of hand you were dealt.  If you have a good poker face, you can bluff your way through the game.

Smith goes further into detail about what kind of cards you should use and how to deal them out.  He then says, “The game of poker is deceptively simple yet it is so much fun to play because of the mind games and strategies involved.”  Next he explains the winning hands any poker player should be on the look out for.

There are several variations of the classic poker game.  This book gives great details about each variation.  The author says, “Poker comes in different variations, all following a similar philosophy and a similar pattern in general. There is a hand raking hierarchy which is the foundation of the game, that from where everything begins to follow a certain pattern.”

One chapter titled, “The Real Objective of Poker,” reveals an important tip for winning a game of poker.  The author says that you may think you understand the main objective of the game, but not so fast.  He gives unqie details about what to do and when, in order to increase your chances of winning the game.  One helpful hint is to read the body language of your fellow players.  This can be difficult to do for beginners, but with Troy Smith’s excellent explanation you will be a pro in no time.
