-2,000 people in China every day die a tobacco-related death -Nearly 75% of all Chinese men are smokers -The only big causes of premature death that are growing rapidly are HIV and tobacco

This classic holiday poem was first published in a New York newspaper on December 23rd, 1823 and has been loved by readers of all ages ever since. This delightful poem is considered by many people to be the most famous poem ever written in the English language. Reading this poem has become an annual tradition for many families as they prepare for the arrival of Santa Claus and his merry reindeer on December 24th—Christmas Eve. This edition omitted the reference to Santa Claus smoking a pipe for the benefit of the youngest of readers to protect them from positive imagery of tobacco products. This edition is the first time such an edit has appeared. Resource Links, a children’s literary journal reviewed this book and gave it an “excellent” rating and the Midwest Book Review stated: The vibrantly colorful, friendly illustrations bring to life this wonderful read-aloud holiday storybook.
