1st Annual Sherpa Heritage Foundation Event and Fundraiser

SALT LAKE CITY - Nov. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- The 1st Annual Sherpa Heritage Foundation Event, Dinner and Fundraiser will be held at the Independent Film Makers Lounge at the Marriott Summit Watch Hotel in Park City Utah on Friday January 17th 2014 during the Sundance Film Festival. The Event will host Live Entertainment, Cocktails, Dinner, Guest Speakers Live Auction and Premier Screening of the epic documentary movie SHERPA. Proceeds of this event will benefit of the 300 Children living at the Sir Edmund Hillary School in Khumjung Nepal near the base of Mount Everest.

The Berel Alexander band will preform entertainment. Guest Speakers will include Producer Robert Cord Beatty speaking about the making of the film SHERPA "The Untold Story of Tenzing Norgay" and Guinness World Record Holder with 21 summits of Mount Everest, APA Sherpa. The Event will be managed and catered by Silver Retreat & Events

This project has been two years in the making with multiple expeditions to the Himalaya Mountain range and includes some of the most dramatic and epic cinematography ever captured on film from the Summits of Mount Everest Lhotse, Kala Patar and the surrounding region. About the Sherpa Heritage Foundation: The Foundation is a 501-3C Non Profit Organization established to raise funds to support the Sherpa Children living in the Khumbu region of the Himalayan Mountains near Mount Everest. There are approximately 300 Children living at the school and another 5 schools exist in the region as well. There is a desperate need for clothing, shoes, school supplies, food, computers, books, further education for teachers, new buildings, and running water facilities for showers and bathroom use.
