John LaRosa started his audio engineering career in early 2000, and has been an Instructor and Mentor for students since 2003. He began as a voiceover editor, which led him to manage an audio department that produced books-on-tape for publishing companies such as Harcourt Inc., Holt Rinehart, and Winston. He later changed his career path to strictly work in the music industry as a recording and mixing engineer for genres including Gospel, Blues, Rock, Pop, R & B, and Rap. LaRosa also works at Hard Rock Live Orlando as a Stagehand and Monitor Engineer, having worked with international artists such as Megadeth, Stone Temple Pilots, Kenny G, Godsmack, and. J. Cole. Since 2010, John LaRosa has been an Instructor of the Audio Engineering & Music Production program at F.I.R.S.T. Institute. The program is an 8-month intense curriculum that prepares students for entry-level employment as an Audio Engineer, Recording Engineer, Sound Engineer, Music Producer, Audio Operator, Sound Technician, Broadcast Engineer, and Broadcast Technician. Many students desire to work within a recording studio with professional musical artists. Alan Forbes, F.I.R.S.T.
