ORLANDO, Fla. - March 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Meet Earl Hoback, Director of Education at F.I.R.S.T. Institute, in our Faculty Spotlight edition of Creativity Meets Career.

In this webisode, Hoback takes us on a whirlwind tour through just a few of his responsibilities as the front-of-house engineer for the Blue Man Group, Orlando. Holbeck began his own career as a performer, but found his passion in the world of audio technology and graduated from Full Sail University with an AS in Recording Arts at age 19. With extensive experience in the digital media industry, from recording and mixing to designing sound systems and controlling them in live shows, Hoback knows what he’s talking about when he says that anyone looking to become a sound engineer needs strong technical expertise in order to excel.

At F.I.R.S.T. Institute, “we keep the class sizes very small,” Hoback explains, so that students get the most intensive training possible, with personal attention paid to their professional and technical development every step of the way. The rapport students build with their instructors is instrumental in their training, and “that lasts forever.” Hoback’s advice to those aspiring to a career in the entertainment industry: get your training, keep your humility, and share your passion!
