By: Geek Pride Geek Pride Cosplay Calendar 2014 This September we are embarking on a mission to bring you a truly unique cosplay calendar, created by and featuring the Geek Pride writers and contributors, alongside guest artists who will be donating their time and creative energy to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. This means that our writers and contributers will be photographed cosplaying (a fancy way of saying "dressing up") as beloved comic book, film and gaming characters, with the results being presented in the form of a 2014 calendar. We will release teaser pictures as the month goes by to give you a flavour of where we are going with the calendar and on the day of the photoshoot we will be filming a behind the scenes DVD and podcast which we will release as a perk. We have chosen to donate all proceeds less costs to Cancer Research UK as cancer has affected almost every single one of us, whether that be family or friends, or even ourselves, who have suffered. We feel that this is a worthy cause and would love to raise as much money for Cancer Research UK as humanly possible.
