New LASIK Technique Reduces Need for "Touch-ups"

CARY, N.C. - July 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Cary, NC  July 6, 2013 - LASIK eye surgery is an effective method to reduce dependence on eyeglasses or contact lenses, but regression or loss of effectiveness during the healing phase has always been a problem in a small minority of patients. Many of these patients will resort back to eyeglasses or undergo a second laser procedure (enhancement).

A Raleigh, NC ophthalmologist, Dr. Dean Dornic of the Laser Eye Center of Carolina has developed a non-surgical method to improve outcomes and reduce the need for enhancement procedures. The method is important because it increases success rates and reduces the need for re-operations.
