Dr. Dean Dornic Named Top LASIK Eye Surgeon

About Dr. Dornic

Dornic has performed laser eye surgery for over 15 years. He has been performing LASIK and other vision correction procedures in the Raleigh-Durham area since 1998. All told, he has performed over 30,000 eye surgeries. He is acknowledged as the first Raleigh area ophthalmologist to perform IntraLase LASIK, an all-laser blade-free form of laser vision correction. In addition he is the first and still the only private practice Raleigh area ophthalmologist to perform Intacs inserts for the correction of keratoconus. Other firsts include the first to perform LTK, CK and implantable contact lens procedures for vision correction.
Dr. Dornic is medical director of the Laser Eye Center of Carolina, a Cary, NC vision correction facility founded by Dornic in 2001. Recently the center announced the acquisition of North Carolina's first iFS laser for vision correction, a laser that Dornic has since used to perform the region's first laser assisted corneal transplant.
