LITCHFIELD, Conn. - June 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Anne LaGattuta’s love of painting pastries came about from a still life assignment at the Massachusettes College of Art and Design where she is a student.  Needing a subject of interest she happened upon a raspberry danish at the local grocery store and uncovered a wealth of textures within these delectable treats.  By employing different techniques to paint buttery croissants, fruit fillings and shimmering jellies, Anne’s mouthwatering artwork leaps forth from the canvas to tempt the senses and offers the viewer “something sweet to think about”.

Anne LaGattuta’s life-long interest in art began as a child and was fostered at Litchfield High School.  Her passion for oil painting developed at the Washington Art Association and for the past two years Anne has continued her art education at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design where she continues to grow and expand as an artist.  In the near future, Anne plans to study abroad to expand her education as well as her artistic vision.
