Palm Coast, FL – Visiting Angels of Palm Coast is hosting an open registration in honor of the 36th annual  Nursing Assistant’s Week held June 13 – 20th.

Visiting Angels will have an open registration for certified nursing assistants and home health aides on Friday, June 14th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Applicants must be experienced and meet certain criteria such as have a current CPR class, have current HIV/AIDS CEU credits, have a recent background check, recent physical statement and negative TB test, and a level two background screening

“We hope qualified individuals who are looking for jobs will join us for this exciting opportunity to join the finest group of caregivers in the industry,” said Medwin Nazif, owner of Visiting Angels. “We are also thrilled to, at the same time, show our appreciation for and celebrate our outstanding caregivers for the exceptional service they provide.”

Immediate part-time and full-time assignments are available in St. Johns, Volusia and Flagler counties. Refreshments will be provided.

On June 13, at the start of this special week, is National Career Nursing Assistants Day. This is an important time to recognize the work of caregivers who have dedicated their lives and careers to caring for others and to learn from the skills they have gained in that time.

Career nursing positions provide hands-on care and perform routine tasks under the supervision of nursing and medical staff.

More than 2.5 million nursing assistants help elderly, frail, or chronically challenged persons live in nursing homes, their own homes, and other long-term care settings. They provide nearly 80 to 90 percent of the direct care received by clients in long-term care facilities, bringing patience, a caring attitude and wisdom to their practices.

Visiting Angels was founded by Medwin and Stephanie Nazif in 2003. Medwin has served on the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer's Association for several years and currently serves on the board of the Alzheimer's Resource Council, which he co-founded.  He is also a founder of the "Serving Our Seniors" networking group that educates and shares resources for the senior population. Visiting Angels is a senior home care company that assists families in St. Johns, Volusia and Flagler Counties with all their senior home care service needs such as respite care for caregivers, general companionship, and care for individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia. They are celebrating their 10 year anniversary this year.

Visiting Angels is located at 185 Cypress Point Pkwy, Suite 5, Palm Coast. They can be reached at 386-446-7848, or online at http://www.visitingangels.com/palmcoast/home and https://www.facebook.com/VisitingAngelsofNEFL.
