HARROGATE, U.K. - June 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Yorkshire digital agency Vital Online Studio, part of Vital Technology Group, has taken on an apprentice web developer who has spent the past 12-months teaching English to adults in Brazil.

Former Ripon Grammar School pupil Pedro Crosby, who lives in Glasshouses, near Pateley Bridge, is the fifth trainee to join the business in the past three years.

As part of his year-long apprenticeship he will share his time between Vital's office in Manse Lane, Knaresborough, and the QA Training College in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

The 22-year-old has existing skills in open source and MySQL and his training will see him further his knowledge of .Net development.

Andy Topps, sales director at Vital Online Studio, said: "Pedro joins us with very particular web development skills, but he stated from the outset that he's keen to enhance his expertise in building apps, which we are encouraging him to do."

Pedro was born in Governador Valadares, in the state of Minas Gerais, to Brazilian parents, and has lived in Yorkshire since the age of four.

He said: "My first weeks at Vital have been very animated, and I already feel like a valued member of the Online Studio team.

"Although I was initially daunted by the prospect of moving away from PHP and working with .NET the level of support I’m receiving is making the task very manageable."
