By: JohnReyer.Com The multidimensional GUIOPERA wrapped up in another layer of the story in which a novice writer is being spied on, his work being broadcast over the internet, is unique to this day and age when a lot of the story happens online. By default windows render images of the writer at work onscreen, and the story is read on mobile devices and monitors rather than pages of a book. Another liberty taken is the frequent reference to music to set the tone of a scene, which the writer then uses to great effect when he depicts the popularity of the work by referring to people wearing headphones on their mobile devices when he publishes what’s known as the LATEST UPLOAD or his official version of the story. This year’s GUIOPERA turns the clock back to midway through the apocalyptic first decade of the 21st Century. The sixth GUIOPERA relies heavily on the premise (for the sake of the story) that the novice writer, and Cold War operative who has come out of hiding post 9/11 and has somehow managed to manipulate the plot by those spying on him and now uses it as means of distributing communications to his crew from the old days. The setting for the deep omniscient narrative crosses countries and continents from the Americas to Europe and then down under to Australasia in the Pacific as the sprawling narrative spans decades to validate the authenticity of what was first thought to be a game. The expansive textual saga with only hidden camera images of the writer grabs the voyeur in all of us. The effect is aesthetically pleasing for the end user, when as a purveyor of John Reyer’s (Author of the GUIOPERA) truth is as much a character in the—SASBWAH— No other form of entertainment, even in this age of the Viral Celebrity, Reality TV and 3D comes close to the Cut-Throat-Creative as he navigates the plot by former associates to cut him down to size.
