PRLog -- I join with the brave people of Massachusetts in expressing profound sorrow over the mindless acts of violence perpetrated at the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 15, 2013. Striking fear by killing, maiming and injuring innocent people and little children is a great act of cowardice that cannot and will not be tolerated. The Boston area was celebrating Patriots' Day during the Boston Marathon. Patriots' Day commemorates the battles of Lexington and Concord fought in 1775. The long and proud history of Massachusetts tells us that the people here are strong, resilient, caring and compassionate. This was especially evident during the Boston Marathon where runners and their families from around the world were warmly greeted and applauded by residents here. Boston is a most welcoming place, but we are angered and determined to bring down justice upon those who committed this horrific violence. Please join myself and my family by praying for those who lost their lives, those who were injured, their families, those who were in the midst of the terror and all the brave people who responded after the blast. May God bless, guide and protect the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States of America.
